CNC Operator II


CNC Operator II is responsible for the following:




Under the direction the Production Manager, acquires job skills in order to perform most levels of repeat CNC machine set ups and operation, able to trouble shoot programs, diagnose most machine issues, able to properly identify and assemble tooling. Depending on experience, they may be asked to assist in new employee training. Employee has enough experience to be able to perform cross functional activities as they relate the machine shop duties, quality control and process documentation.



  • Minimum of 6 months experience in the set up and operation of CNC equipment.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience with hand tools and power tools / equipment that are typically used in machining operations.
  • Swing Shift Role: 3:30 pm to midnight with 1/2 hour lunch.



Employee must be able to work with limited direct supervision, work with, and be able to identify most materials used in production. Be able to use hand tools, precision measuring equipment, CNC equipment, and be experienced in demonstrating proper machining practices.



  1. Perform all work in a safe manner. Promptly report safety issues and any unsafe behavior of others to management.
  2. Perform all work in a manner which ensures that a quality product is available for on time delivery to the next level customer.
  3. Accurately records, submits daily time cards, and enters recordable time into M3.
  4. Learns to use computer systems / software, and navigation of company’s network.
  5. Learns to use precision measuring equipment.
  6. Maintain shop equipment, tooling, and supplies to support production.
  7. Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment
  8. Understands the urgency of our industry and is willing to work overtime on short notice to satisfy customer needs
  9. Supports management as requested
  10. Complies with company policies and procedures
  11. Able to use computer systems / software, machine controllers, and navigate the company’s network proficiently.
  12. Able to use precision measuring equipment correctly
  13. May be asked to participate in the new product /process development phase.
  14. Provide input for new equipment, tooling, and fixture procurement.
  15. Supports management as requested
  16. Complies with company policies and procedures
